Data Modeling of Digital Twins
Azenzus is the software engine that drives all services provided by Covizmo, and is used to accumulate knowledge about equipment and documentation on technical plants.

Azenzus is an advanced dynamic cloud-based asset data management framework that integrates with major Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as SAP, IBM Maximo and IFS. Azenzus is the software engine that drives all services provided by Covizmo and is used to accumulate knowledge about equipment and documentation on technical plants within the asset intensive industry. The framework enables users to capture, reuse and share technical information in accordance to principles in the ISO 15926, ISO/IEC 81346, ISO 14224 and IEC 61355. Azenzus is based on a data model developed by Covizmo where data is separated into three distinct layers:
  • Metadata (data definition)
  • Master Data (cataloging)
  • Instance Data (serial data)

          3-layered data model
Due to increased regulations and documentation requirements, maintaining big industrial units is becoming increasingly complex. Metadata, master data and instance data are often being mixed or used out of context, which makes traceability very difficult. It is therefore difficult for companies to document performed maintenance on a specific equipment or to plan future purchasing.

From a usability perspective, most CMMS systems are challenging and time consuming to work with and cannot easily be customized for essential business processes within the asset intensive industries. Azenzus is designed to overcome these challenges. Azenzus is an agile web-based tool with a simple user interface that makes it easy to register, cleanse, enrich, analyze, classify and optimize data, before it is entered into the customers CMMS system. 

Azenzus is a proven system that has been used to register asset data during all our internal projects executed since 2008. This means that Azenzus has a repository full of customized industry data that has been enriched with master data and metadata for years.

Azenzus is using the very powerful Elasticsearch search and analytics engine. The Kibana tool gives the data scientist an advance analysis and visualization tool for the Azenzus data model.  

Turbo Charge Your CMMS
The purpose of Azenzus is to Turbo Charge existing computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
By using a 3-layered data model it is possible to:
  • Classify complex equipment and documents
  • Catalog/standardize equipment and document master data
  • Register equipment and document instances
  • Create equipment and document viewing structures also called aspects.
The primary objective of the 3-layered object-oriented data modeling approach is to implement a data model used for all Covizmo services and products that can classify, catalog, structure, and register information used for Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems. By using this structured data modeling approach, Azenzus makes it possible to create the foundation that is required for successfully implementing methodologies such as:
  • Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM)
  • Failure mode Effect and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)
  • Reliability, Availability and Maintainability Analysis (RAM)
  • Safety Barrier Management
  • Materials Management (MM)
  • Document Management (DM)
A mobile solution for making a subset of Azenzus data available offline has been developed. This allows users to interact with Azenzus on locations where there is no or limited network connection available e.g. on offshore installations. 
Azenzus enables users to view objects, e.g. equipment and documents from different aspects such as function and/or location.
